Flax cultivar. Awanga x Pūtaiore. Awanga - a vigorous grower, but low yield and coarse fibre crossed with Pūtaiore - medium grower, high yield of high quality fibre, disease resistant. Cross provides a quick growing, luxuriant, disease resistant plant with a high percentage of medium quality fibre.
