Harakeke cultivar.

1) Best 1907, quoting Colenso: Variegated variety. Also known as Awanga. Used in making baskets and mats.

2) Best 1942: an obtuse leaved variety. "Colenso has it as another name for awanga".

4) Gregory Collection, Kaitaia: Muka flax. Medium green, medium length leaves, narrow and pointed. Leaves turn out at tips. Has kōrari. Also known as Taringa hoiho.
