moki, mokimoki. Williams is given as the source of these names in Cheeseman 1925, but the names do not appear related to Mentha in the 1971 dictionary). Williams says moki, mokimoki is Phymatodes scandens (now Microsorum scandens)

Leaves used for scent (Best 1942). Used in recipe for scent. See Aciphylla.

Used as diaphoretic (to induce perspiration) (Colenso 1868a ; Bell 1890).
