Opunake Native, 1871; Pārera? Breaking strain 95

Taranaki Native; Rough garments, rope only.

West Coast, Heaphy; Ngutupārura?

2) Best 1942 ; no description

3) Williams 1971; a variety of flax

4) Gregory Collection, Kaitaia. Recorded as muka flax. Pale green leaves of medium length, tips of leaves blunt and turn outwards. Very good muka. Grows best in or alongside running water. Has kōrari.
