Harakeke cultivar in Viv Gregory Collection, Kaitaia. His notes say Aranoa has short, soft, variegated, thick flesh on outside, is easy to strip and has white fibre, no kōrari. Used for muka, kits. Can be used for men's piupiu. Similar to Auranga.
