Kūmara cultivar considered to be of pre-European origin.

In Florida Group (under classification system devised by H. C. Thompson 1922 and 1957).

Yen 1963: 37. Collected from 2 Northland locations - Motatau, Whangape. Plants of poor vigour. Roots pink, large irregular shape, more or less rectangular. Flesh yellow, fairly sweet, inclined to dry on cooking.

Poor yield, 1 or 2 roots per plant. "Virusy" appearance. Susceptible to fungus disease "scurf". Storage quality fair.
