Kūmara cultivar. White skin, white or whitish flesh. Cultivated in the northern districts - Bay of Islands, Hokianga, and Kaitaia (Colenso 1880).

Listed by Williams 1894 as a pre-European cultivar grown on the East Cape. He says it is the same as Huiupoko.

In list of kūmara varieties given by Gudgeon 1893, Best 1925.
