Boyce S. W., Boyce W. R. et al 1953. Investigations into yellow-leaf disease of Phormium. Part V: Transmission experiments and discussion on control. One of a series of 5 papers summarizing research into yellow-leaf disease. New Zealand Journal of Science and Technology 34 (A Supp. 1): 41-46

Sometimes through root grafts and seeds. Virus endemic. Control - flooding, insecticides, elimination of sources of infection in nurseries and plantations, breeding for resistance.
