i) Tīhore whero. Muka flax. Most common general purpose muka. Narrow stiff leaves coming to a sharp point. Excellent quality muka and easy to strip. Can be used for piupiu. Has kōrari.

ii) Tīhore mangu. Muka flax. Same as above but darker green.
