Kelly, New Plymouth, 1870; Short leaf, black edge.

Taranaki Native, ibid; One of best for garment making.

Opunake Native, 1871; breaking strain 90

West Coast, Heaphy. Manunui? Good for cordage.

West Coast, Mantell; best variety

2) Hector 1889; A favourite variety. Planted in Botanic Gardens, Wellington, in 1870, from seed.
