Kūmara cultivar. A variety introduced pre-1900.

Classified as Ticotea type (under system devised by Thompson 1922 and 1957).

Yen 1963: 37. Cultivar collected by Yen in Opape, Bay of Plenty. Not known in Northland.

Short, stocky vines. Roots cream, varying in shape from long oval to long twisted. Flesh light yellow. On cooking mealy and flavourless. Prone to the fungal disease `scurf". Storage good-excellent. Claimed to be more reliable yielder than the old Māori types.
