Kūmara cultivar. Cultivated in the northern districts - Bay of Islands, Hokianga, Kaitaia - and in Hawkes Bay and on East Coast. Dark purple skin and flesh (Colenso 1880)

A Taranaki variety. Also called Tokoke (Best 1925)
