Pinakitere "This plant grows in great abundance in the interior plain, it has a strong smell of the anniseed or fennel, both the leaves and the root are eaten. (Taylor 1847)

"There are several varieties of umbelliferous plants growing on the central plains, which might be cultivated as vegetables, especially a white carrot, pinaihere [sic.]" (Taylor 1855).
