Kaheru pictured found at Moturoa, New Plymouth. Made of maire. Used for forming up mounds in which kūmara set, and for working the soil as plants grew. Two songs included - in Māori and translation. i) song used in planting kūmara with the kō ii) song used in making hillocks for kūmara with the kaheru
