A cake made of pounded and cleaned fernroot (Best 1942). Round, about 8" in length (sic.). Roasted again at fire to prevent crumbling. Cakes sometimes steeped in tutu juice. If fernroot was required to be kept some time, was placed under water - kept for possibly a year (Best 1902)
