Kapingamarangi (Polynesian outlier atoll in the East Carolines) has at least 16 cultivars of Pandanus, all but one of which are clonally propagated strains of Pandanus fischerianus, and mostly maintained for the edible pericarp of their fruits. Some for leaf material. Author discusses origins of cultivars. Local names recorded.
