Corn cultivars. Open-pollinated varieties. Obtained from Māori agriculturalists on the Mahia Peninsula. Short, low number of leaves. Small, white ears. Probably derived from Black Mexican sweetcorn of New York State, U.S.A. Further details in Rhodes and Eagles 1984.
