Sampled extract of fresh ground shoots. Describes symptoms of poisoning. Prepared extracts of leaves, bark, seeds in attempt to isolate poisonous principle. Dr. Acheson, in follow-up article, tried lime as an antidote. Tutu as a dyewood (grey/black). (Some results disputed by Skey)
