Beever R. E. 1983. Self-incompatibility in Cordyline pumilio, Agavaceae. New Zealand Journal of Botany 21(1): 93-95
Notes
Controlled pollinations between 2 plants of C. pumilio showed that each sets no or few seed when selfed, but abundant seed when crossed by the other. This result, supported by additional crossing evidence and field observations, indicates that the species is self-incompatible. (author"s abstract)
