Newspaper article on research undertaken at Waikato University on mānuka honey, which was shown in lab tests to kill the peptic ulcer causing bacteria Helicobacter pylori. Clinical trials however showed that mānuka honey did not kill the bacteria in humans. Anecdotal evidence suggests it may relieve symptoms.
