Ngā Rauropi Whakaoranga

This revised checklist provides up-to-date scientific names arranged alphabetically for 3,296 vascular plants used anywhere in the world for food, spices, medicine, drugs, forage or fibre. Some names of noxious weeds, ornamental plants, and plants used for timber are added. The corresponding common names, if any, and 983 of the more frequently encountered synonyms are also included. A second part lists the common names alphabetically followed by their scientific names. A final selection gives taxanomic and nomenclatural comments on selected controversial or recently revised scientific names. (authors abstract)
