Linoleic acid, used industrially (paints & varnishes, clear alkyd resins, epoxy resin esters) and essential for nutrition. Yields from seed oils of Phormium tenax estimated at 62-66 kg per acre, and from Cordyline australis 26-28 kg per acre.
