Trappe James M. 1988. Use of truffles and false-truffles around the world. Atti del II Congresso Internazionale sul Tartufo, Spoleto, 24-27 November 1988.
Notes
Trappe states that use of hypogeous (growing underground) fungi by Māori is scanty. Mentions Taylor 1847.
"The known hypogeous fungi of New Zealand that would resemble European species include species of the genus Dingleya (Trappe 1979) or, perhaps, scletoria of certain polypores (Ross Beever, personal communication).
